Colby Lee Ivey died tragically in an automobile accident in Choctaw County on January 11, 2003. He was 15 years and 4 months young. He was the football and basketball manager for Ackerman High School. He was a Freshman at Ackerman High School and had many Friends, loved helping people, always fought for the underdog. He was an energetic young man and will be missed on this earth by many people. Colby left behind his Mother Gala Pickett Ivey of Ackerman, Ms, two brothers J. T. Orand and Brady Ivey also of Ackerman, one sister Cynthia Jefferson and her husband Chad of Waco, Texas. A niece Taylor Davis and nephew Brendon Davis of Waco, Texas. Grandparents Bill and Dianne Rutherford of Teague, Texas and Asa Pickett of Fairfield, Texas. Aunt Lanett Utsey and her children Heather and Ryan of Fairfield, Texas, an Uncle Cullen Pickett of Fairfield, Texas.
